Pens Dispatch Avs with ease

The Pittsburgh Penguins scored twice in the both the 1st and 2nd periods before adding an empty netter late in the third to take a 5-1 win back to PIttsburgh. Asham, Malkin, Park and Engelland all scored before Steve Sullivan added the empty netter with 1:26 remaining in the 3rd period. Marc Andre Fleuy made 35 saves and looked stellar in net as he attempted to over take Tom Barrasso for the franchise lead in shutouts. Fleury appeared poised to clinch the shutout until Matt Hunwick scored 8:58 into the third period. The Pens head back to Pittsburgh for a monday night contest against the Phoenix Coyotes. The win last night has the Pens in fourth place in the eastern conference standings with 18 games remaining in the regular season.
