Heat keeps adding on

It seems like, right now, it is the Pittsburgh Penguins versus the world as another executive in the NHL has some non-positive comments towards the hockey club.

We all remember the past few weeks as Flyers coach called the Penguins “gutless” and was fined $10,000 for his comments, then virtually the next game Rangers Coach John Tortorella called Crosby and Malkin the “two whining stars from an arrogant organization” he was fined $20,000 for his efforts. Some words were also said by Flyers assistant coaches as well. Who can forget the Mike Milbury comments on Sidney Crosby?

This time the talk comes from Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke when asked about the model the Penguins have used, his response was “Pittsburgh model my ass, they won a lottery for the best player.” Insinuating that without the “Crosby Lottery” the team would be nowhere.

I mean he has a point, Crosby has missed half of each of the past two seasons and the Pens did not even make the playo…. Wait what?

What an idiot.

I have no idea why all of this hate has come along all of a sudden, maybe there is some merit to it, I mean let’s face it, we have no idea how the organization treats other teams in terms of business.

It could however just be a ploy, especially in the Flyers and Rangers case to get under the Penguins skin for the playoffs.

Maybe its because seven of ten hockey writers have picked the Pens to clean up the playoffs this year and win the cup.

In the words of Mike Milbury, "Screw him"
